We preserve our flowers using a modern method of Resin. Each individual flower is cut from the bouquet or arrangement, popped in our dryer to ensure all moisture is removed, before carefully being set in resin to hold the preservation. Resin is a glass - like material which means not only is it very tough and durable, its crystal clear finish makes a really striking piece for round the home where you can see your flowers at all angles. Some pieces can be laid flat or even stood on their sides. Although our resin is UV resistant, we do reccomend keeping out of direct sunlight for added protection.
For best results we advise getting your flowers to us within a few days after the wedding/event. Any longer than this and the flowers will deteriorate and effect the overall outcome of the preservation.
We also advise that your bouquet is popped back into water once you have finished having photos taken, to prevent any flowers from wilting.
For anyone local to Norwich, you're welcome to bring your flowers to me in person, or have someone do so for you.
For those further afield, you can arrange to post your flowers to me via Royal Mail.
For those who have hired items from me for your wedding, is it possible I can collect your flowers from the venue when I collect the hired items.
Once I have recieved your flowers and put them in the dryer, you have around 3 - 4 weeks before I will be ready to start making your pieces. This is when I need your final decision and an invoice will be sent to you for payment via bank transfer. I keep any left over flowers for 1 week after you have received your pieces, in case you wish to order any more. After 1 week, the flowers will be disposed of.
From the time I receive your flowers to the time they are finished can vary depending on what items you have ordered, how many of each and also the time of year, due to peak seasons. Each order can take anywhere between 8 - 16 weeks to make. You will be advised apon booking and contacted again once they are ready.
Please be aware that different flowers dry differently. Some retain their colour very well, some may change slightly. Some light pinks take on a mauve hue, some deep colours darken even further, some whites dry slightly brown or yellow. This is, unfortunately, beyond our control.
Please note that each piece is made by hand and therefore cannot be replicated exactly the same. Even when using the same flowers, placement may differ. Flower size and quantity is limited in smaller pieces, you will be advised if a product does not suit the size of your flowers on booking. Whilst we do our best to remove any bubbles, some may still remain within the resin but we consider these to be part of the character of a hand made item.
Due to some letters of the alphabet having a curved bottom to them (C,G J,O,S,U) they may not stand by themselves. As there isn't anything we can do about this, we advise adding clear sticky dots to the bottom to help stabilise if you wish to make them stand.
